GUMMADI KAYA PULUSU/ PUMPKIN CURRY



Gummadikaya/Pumpkin are the largest species in this family in terms of flower size and fruit size, hence the name pumpkin.  Not only that you can do wonders with the help of good nutrition. Pumpkin can be cooked and eaten in a number of ways,turned into juice and used as a soup. Stem stout ,sexy. The leaves are heart shaped.  The pumpkin is the biggest crop in the world it could weigh up to fifty kilograms.
It greatly decreases the amount of fat required to enter the body. In addition to the benefits of pumpkin , Vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium,folate and other nutrients that are good for the body, they are also available.  Which is why it is advisable for people with a weight problem to have pumkin seeds in their diet. Magnesium is plentiful of these. But minerals are the most stored nuts.
In fact, if we share these in our diet, our life expectancy will improve even more. Paste is scientifically necessary to alleviate inflammation of the prostate gland.  Eating pumpkin seeds can cure constipation. Food is fully digested and constipation is becoming a problem. Frequent consumption of pumpkin provides relief from gastric consumption.
In addition to reducing the risk of chest pain and lung cancer,researchers report.  There are various applications of diabetics for pumpkin lowers your blood glucose well and high blood pressure can be managed by the use of extra virgin olive oil.
Pumkin is not a fruit; its light leaves, stems and flowers are often used for curry. Eat the pumkin seeds , sweets such as halwa, almonds, pistachio and lentils are also used as dressings.

In addition to useful minerals such as potassium , phosphorus ,arsenic , magnesium and calcium , pumkin has been found to have a nutrional benefits as it contains Vitamin A (high) and little Vitamin C (lightly). Pumpkins have many medical benefits.
Pumpkin seeds are supplemented with sugar to kill tapeworms in the stomach.  They’re fed before they go to bed a night and drink castor oil in the morning.
Patients with gonorrhea and urinary tract infections are fed sugar or honey pumpkin seeds to help them urinate easily. Pumpkin pulp is added to cuts and bruises as a garland. Scorpions, stinging etc., the immediate advantage is the drying of the pumpkin stalk and the application of a paste made from it. Burns is combined with pumpkin pulp.  These seeds are not only diuretic but also serve as a tonic for those with nervous weakness

GUMMADI KAYA PULUSU/ PUMPKIN CURRY

  • 1 PUMPKIN  SMALL SIZE
  • 2 ONION (WELL CHOPPED)
  • 1 tsp URAD DAL
  • 1 tsp MUSTARD SEEDS
  • 8 CURRY LEAVES
  • 3 RED CHILLI
  • 1/2 tsp TURMERIC POWDER
  • 1 tsp JEERA/CUMIN SEEDS
  • 5 GREEN CHILIES
  • 2 tbsp OIL
  • 1 TAMARIND LEMON SIZE
  • 1 tsp JAGGERY POWDER
  • 1 tsp RICE FLOUR
  • SALT PER TASTE
  • 5 GARLIC CLOVES
  • 1/2 tsp CORIANDER POWDER
  • CORIANDER LEAVES (WELL CHOPPED)
  1. Usually the size of the pumpkin is very large, so you take half or quarter and cut it as medium size cubes after cleaning in running water.

    Now take the onions and chop the well and slit the green chilies length wise and keep them aside.

    Now take the pan and add the oil and heat it on a low flame and add the mustard seeds, urad dal , the cumin seeds, the red chilies and the curry leaves and wait until they begin to sprinkle.

    Now add well chopped onion , garlic cloves, turmeric powder and green chilies and fry until it become light brownish.

    Now add the cubed pumpkin and add one cup of water and cook until the pumkin becomes soft.

    Now add tamarind juice and half a cup of wate, salt, red chili powder,jaggery powder and coriander powder and cook until the gravy become thicker and then add rice flour and add four to five spoons of water and cook for few minutes and turn off the flame, when the raw smell goes out and the gravy reaches the desired consistency.

    Finally transfer the recipe into a fresh bowl and garnish with well chopped coriander leaves.

    Now you can serve the recipe with hot rice
