DOSAKAYA /YELLOW CUCUMBER AND TOMATO CURRY
- 1/2 KG DOSAKAYA/ YELLOW CUCUMBER
- 4 TOMATO (WELL CHOPPED)
- 1 ONION (WELL CHOPPED)
- 4 GREEN CHILIES (WELL SLICED)
- 8 CURRY LEAVES
- 5 GARLIC PODS
- 1/4 Tea Spoon MUSTARD SEEDS
- 1/4 Tea Spoon JEERA/CUMIN SEEDS
- 1/4 Tea Spoon URAD DAL
- CORIANDER LEAVES (WELL CHOPPED)
- 2 RED CHILIES
- 2 Tea Spoon RED CHILI POWDER
- 1/4 Tea Spoon TURMERIC POWDER
- SALT (PER TASTE)
- 3 Tea Spoon OIL
Wash Dosakaya/yellow cucumber , tomatos and green chilies during a running water for2 or 3 times .
Take Dosakaya/Yellow cucumber and peel the skin and chop it into small pieces and keep it aside
Now take tomatoes, onions and chop it well and keep aside , slice green chilies with them
Now take a pan and add oil and warmth it on low flame for few seconds and add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,urad dal and saute them for a short time until seeds sputter.
Now add red chilies and curry leaves and mashed garlic pods and saute it for few seconds and add chopped onions and green chilies and fry it for few minutes on low flame until onions become light brownish.
Now add tomatoes and cook it for few minutes and add Salt , turmeric powder and red chili powder and blend it well for few seconds.
Now add dosakaya/Yellow cucumber pieces and pour some water and blend it well and canopy it and cook on medium flame for few minutes ( 10 minutes ). Watch Dosakaya/Yellow Cucumber properly cooked or not.
Finally switch of the flame and transfer the recipe into other bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with hot rice.
