SEMIYA UPMA

  • 2 CUPS SEMIYA
  • 3 tbsp OIL/ GHEE
  • 1 ONION (WELL CHOPPED)
  • 4 GREEN CHILIES (WELL SLICED)
  • 1 TOMATO (WELL CHOPPED)
  • SALT (PER TASTE)
  • 1/4 Tea Spoon MUSTARD SEEDS
  • 1/4 Tea Spoon CUMIN SEED/JEERA
  • 1/2 Tea Spoon URAD DAL
  • 8 CURRY LEAVES
  • CORIANDER LEAVES (WELL CHOPPED)
  • 1/2 Tea Spoon LEMON JUICE

    Take onions , green chilies and tomato and chop them welland keep it aside.

    Now take a bowl and add two cups of hot boiled water and add half tea spoon of oil salt and semiya and blend it well and canopy it and awaitten to fifteen minutes to become soft and drain and keep it aside.

    Now take a pan and add remaining oil and warmth it on a coffee flame for a short time and add urad dal , mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chilies and curry leaves and wait until the seeds splutter.

    Now add well chopped onions and green chilies and saute it for a short time until onions become light brownish.

    Now add well chopped tomatoes and stir it for a short time and add semiya and blend it and add salt, juice and blend it well and cook for couple of minutes on a medium flame.

    After couple of minutes cut the flame and transfer the recipe into a bowl and garnish with well chopped coriander leaves.

    Now you'll serve hot semiya upma with any chutney or not.
