JEERA RICE



JEERA RICE

  • 2 CUPS BASMATI RICE
  • 1 ONION (WELL CHOPPED)
  • SALT (PER TASTE)
  • 3 tbsp GHEE
  • 2 tbsp JEERA/CUMIN SEEDS
  • 1/4 Tea Spoon LEMON JUICE
  • 4 GREEN CHILIES (WELL SLICED)
  • 6 CASHEW NUT (OPTIONAL) (FOR GARNISH)
  • CORIANDER LEAVES (OPTIONAL) (FOR GARNISH)
  1. Wash Rice during a bowl for 2 or 3 times and soak for onehour.

    Roast Cashew nuts during a ghee and keep it aside forgarnish.

    Now take a Pan and warmth Ghee on a coffee flame and addcumin seeds .

    Add sliced onions and green chilies and saute it well untilonions change color into light brownish.

    Now add soaked rice on a coffee flame and staute it and addthree cups of water.

    After couple of minutes add salt and few drops of lemon andcanopy the pan and cook during a low flame.

    Cook the rice for ten to fifteen minutes.

    See rice was properly cooked or not and switch of the flameand transfer the recipe into a fresh bowl.

    Now garnish the recipe with cashew nuts ( roasted in ghee)and well sliced coriander leaves.
