CABBAGE SENAGA PAPPU CURRY/CABBAGE CHANA DAL CURRY
- 1 SMALL CABBAGE
- 1/2 CUP SENAGA PAPPU/ CHANA DAL
- 1 ONION (WELL CHOPPED)
- 4 GREEN CHILIES (WELL SLICED)
- 4 GARLIC CLOVES (CRUSHED)
- 3 RED CHILLI
- 1/2 INCH GINGER (WELL CHOPPED)
- 3 tbsp OIL
- 1/4 Tea Spoon TURMERIC POWDER
- 1/2 tbsp RED CHILLY POWDER
- SALT (PER TASTE)
- 1/4 Tea Spoon MUSTARD SEEDS
- 1/4 Tea Spoon CUMIN SEEDS
- 8 CURRY LEAVES
Take a small cabbage and clean it under a running water andchop it well.
Take onion and green chillies and chop it well and keepaside.
Now take bowl and add water and boil it during a medium flame add chopped cabbage,ginger and salt and half and canopy it and cook for a short time .
Now cut the flame after cabbage half cooked (don’t cook).
And transfer cabbage removing water pressing half cooked cabbage and keep it aside.
Now take chana dal and add it during a water for couple of minutes and take away it from water after becoming smooth and keep it aside. (if you're in urgent you'll half boil during a boiled water in low flame)
Now take a Pan and add oil and warmth it on a coffee flame for a short time and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds,crushed garlic cloves ,red chilies and curry leaves and stir it for a short time until seeds splutter.
Now add well chopped onions and green chilies and fry it until onions turns light brownish.
Now add garlic paste and stir it for a short time on a coffee flame and add turmeric powder and stir it for a short time .
Now add half boiled cabbage and chana dal and blend it well for couple of minutes and add salt , red chilli powder and canopy the pan and cook it for ten to fifteen minutes during a low flame.
Now transfer the recipe into a fresh bowl and garnish it with well chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with boiled rice or chapathi.
