PAPPU CHARU RECIPE
- 1/2 CUP KANDHI PAPPU/TOOR DAL
- 6 BABY ONIONS
- 2 TOMATO (WELL CHOPPED)
- 5 tbsp TAMARIND WATER/JUICE
- SALT (PER TASTE)
- 2 tbsp RED CHILLI POWDER
- 5 GREEN CHILIES (WELL SLICED)
- 6 CURRY LEAVES
- 1/2 tbsp TURMERIC POWDER
- 1/2 tbsp MUSTARD SEEDS
- 1/2 tbsp JEERA/CUMIN SEEDS
- ASAFOETIDA/HING (PINCH)
- 1 CARROT (WELL CHOPPED MEDIUM PIECES)
- 6 DRUMSTICK PIECES
- 4 RED CHILLI
Cook Dal , Tomatoes , Onion,carrot, drumsticks in presure cooker until 2 whistle on a medium flame until it becomes smooth.
Now remove Onion, Tomatoes, carrot, green chillies and drumsticks and see they're properly cooked or not and keep it aside.
Now mash up the cooked dal well and add Tamarind juice and water ( 3 to 5 cups ) ,boiled vegetables , add salt , turmeric powder and red chilli powder and blend it well now cook it well for ten minutes .
Now take a little pan and add oil and warmth it on low flame for a short time and add red chillies , mustard seeds,cumin seeds,curry leaf and hing and now pour it into the recipe and cook it for a short time .
Finally garnish with coriander leaves and serve the recipe with rice.
