POTATO KURMA

  • 3 POTATOES (BOILED AND CUT INTO PIECES)
  • 2 ONIONS (WELL CHOPPED)
  • 2 TOMATO (WELL CHOPPED)
  • 3 tbsp GREEN PEAS
  • 1 tbsp GINGER AND GARLIC PASTE
  • 1/4 tbsp TURMERIC POWDER
  • 2 tbsp RED CHILLI POWDER
  • SALT (PER TASTE)
  • 1/2 tbsp CORIANDER /DHANIA POWDER
  • 1/2 tbsp GARAM MASALA POWDER
  • 2 tbsp OIL
  • 3 tbsp COCONUT (WELL GRATED FRESH)
  • 1/4 tbsp POPPY SEEDS/GASGAS
  • 5 CASHEW NUT
  • 5 GREEN CHILIES (WELL SLICED)
  1. Now clean Potatoes during a running water and boil during awater and peel the skin and dig medium peaces.

    Take Onions , and two green chilies and slice through piecesand keep it aside

    Take Tomatoes and clean during a running water and chop itwell and keep aside

    Take fresh green peas and clean with water and keep aside

    Now take fresh grated coconut ,poppy seeds/gasgash, cashewnuts and remaining green chilies and make a paste in grinder and keep it aside.

    Now take pan or vessel and add Oil and warmth it during alow flame for a short time and add chopped onions and curry leaves and saute ituntil onions color become lightish brown and now add ginger and garlic pasteand saute it for 3 or 5 minutes and add turmeric powder , red chilli powder,coriander powder and salt and blend it well.

    Now add tomatoes and potatoes and cook it during a mediumflame for six minutes, and add the grinded paste and garam masala powder andblend it well .

    Add one or half cup of water and cook it on a medium flamefor 10 minutes.

    Finally garnish chopped coriander leaves and serve it withRice or Chapathis.
