DRUMSTICK DAL/MUNAGAKU PAPPU
- 1 CUP TOOR DAL/ KANDHI PAPPU
- 1 CUP DRUMSTICK / MUNAGAKU LEAVES
- 2 tbsp OIL
- 1/4 tbsp TURMERIC POWDER
- 1 TOMATO (WELL CHOPPED)
- 1/2 tbsp JEERA/CUMIN SEEDS
- 1/2 tbsp MUSTARD SEEDS
- 6 GARLIC CLOVES
- 4 RED CHILLI
- 1 tbsp CURRY LEAVES
- 4 GREEN CHILIES (WELL CHOPPED)
- 1/4 TEASPOON asafoetida/hing
- SALT (PER TASTE)
- 2 tbsp RED CHILLY POWDER
Clean Dal during a running water atleast 3 times
Now wash drumstick / Munagaaku leaves during a big bowl for2 or 3 times until dust will explode and soak it.
Now take a autoclave and place both Dal and Drumstick leaves, chopped tomato , turmeric powder,green chilies and add 3 cups of water andcook it for 3 whistles.
Mash cooked Dal and leaves and add chilli powder and saltand blend it and keep aside for tempering
Now take alittle pan with 2 table spoon of oil and warmth itfor a short time and add red chillies ,Mustard and cumin seeds ,ginger cloves ,asafoetida/ Hing and curry leaves and after seconds and pour it in Cooked Daland leaves and blend it well. And transfer the recipe during a good lookingbowl .
