PALAK DAL


Palak Dal referred to as Palakura Pappu in telugu. This delicious recipe have for dinner and lunch along side Rice or Chapathi. and that we know Spinach and Dal is a superb nutrition source with vitamins and Protein. South Indians almost make Dal with Gongura , Thotakura, methi , Munaga Kura and other green vegies.

PALAK DAL

  • 1 CUP ToorDal/Kandhi Pappu
  • SALT (PER TASTE)
  • 1/2 tbsp Turmericpowder
  • 2 tbsp RED CHILLI POWDER
  • 4 GREEN CHILLIES (WELL SLICED)
  • 2 tbsp TAMARIND WATER
  • 1 ONION (WELL CHOPPED)
  • 1 TOMATO (WELL CHOPPED)
  • 1/4 tbsp SUGUR (IF REQUIRED)
  • 3 CUPS SPINACH (WELL CHOPPED)
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 5 GARLIC CLOVES
  • 1/2 tbsp MUSTARD SEEDS
  • 1/2 tbsp JEERA/CUMIN SEEDS
  • 4 RED CHILLI
  • 2 tbsp CURRY LEAVES
  • asafoetida/hing (PINCH)
  1. Wash spinach two or 3 times during a running water and chopit and again clean during a running water and keep aside

    Chop Onion,tomato and green chillies , take cury leaves andkeep aside during a plate.

    Now cook Dal, chopped palak ,and tamarind during a autoclaveuntil 3 whistles .

    Now add Salt (per taste), red chilli powder,chopped tomatoschopped onions, green chillies ,sugar and saute it and cook for a short time .

    Now add 2 table spoon of oil and warmth it during a pan andadd red chillies , mustard seeds ,cumin seeds ,garlic cloves ,hing and curryleaves after few seconds transfer it in cooked dal and blend it well.

    Now transfer the recipe during a separate bowl .
