beans/ chukkudukaya fry


God this Andhra Dish is very health and easy to prepare, making with a broad beans in Telugu we say Chikkudukaya . This dish is simple and with high fiber, iron, zinc helping in lowering cholesterol. We can serve this dish with rice. Okay now we will start making this delicious dish don’t worry it will take only 15 minutes.

BEANS/CHUKKUDUKAYA FRY

  • 250 GRAMS BEANS/CHUKKUDUKAYALU
  • 1/2 tbsp TURMERIC POWDER
  • 2 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 3 tbsp OIL
  • SALT (AS PER REQUIRED)
  • 2 RED CHILLI
  • 1/2 Tbsp JEERA/CUMIN SEEDS
  • 1 tbsp URAD DAL
  • 1/2 tbsp MUSTARD SEEDS
  • 3 GARLIC CLOVES
  • 1 tbsp CURRY LEAVES
  • CORIANDER LEAVES
  1. Take beans / chukkudukayalu in a bowl, and wash it and cut the edges and cut into half an inch pieces. Take a pressure cooker and add one cup of water with cleaned and chopped beans / chukkudukayalu, salt, turmeric powder and chilly powder and cook for one whistle. And place well cooked beans/ chukkudukayalu in a bowl, and remove the excess water. Take a fry Pan and add oil in a low flame and cumin, mustard seeds with curry leaves after a few seconds add urad dal ,red chilies and garlic cloves (minced) and fry in a low flame for a while and add well cooked chukkudukayalu / beans and mix them well and add salt and chilly powder for your taste and mix it well on fry pan for a while. And serve in a fresh bowl. And decor with coriander leaves.
