SPICY BATATA KANDHA POHA

This Maharashtrian Breakfast is healthy and easy to cook

  • 3 CUPS POHA
  • 2 ONIONS (WELL CHOPPED)
  • 2 POTATO (WELL CHOPPED)
  • 2 TOMATO (WELL CHOPPED)
  • 4 tbsp GREEN CHILIES (WELL CHOPPED)
  • 4 tbsp PEANUTS
  • 4 tbsp GREEN PEAS
  • 6 tbsp OIL
  • 1 1/2 tbsp TURMERIC POWDER
  • 1 tbsp MUSTARD SEEDS
  • 1 tbsp URAD DAL
  • 1 tbsp JEERA
  • 1 tbsp LEMON JUICE
  • 1/2 tbsp SUGAR
  • 1 tbsp RED CHILLY POWDER
  • SALT (AS PER YOUR REQUIRED)
  • 2 tbsp CORIANDER LEAVES (FOR DECORATE)
  • 1 tbsp DESICCATED COCONUT
  • 3 tbsp BHUJIA SEV
  1. Take Two Cups of Poha ( take thick one) and
    wash it in the water bowl and drain it until the water drains completely and
    take it in fresh bowl and dry it for 5 to 8 minutes and a Poha become soft.

    After 10 minutes take the Poha and mix it
    with 1 table spoon lemon juice and ½ table spoon of sugar And keep it aside.

    And take a pan with 6 table spoon Oil and heat it for a while and add 3 Table spoon
    Peanuts and roast it for a while and keep the roasted peanuts aside.

    In the same pan add one table spoon Oil and curry leaves alongwith 1 table spoon Urad dal , 1 table spoon
    Mustard seeds and 1 table spoon Jeera and sauté it for a while and well chopped Onions and chopped green chilies and sauté it until it
    become light brownish and take chopped potato’s , chopped tomato , and green peas, and sauté it for 3 to 4
    minutes.

    And then take the Poha from the bowl
    and add it in the pan, and sauté it for a while and 1 ½ table spoon Turmeric powder , 2 table spoon
    well chopped green chilies and add required Salt in it and cook it for 5 minutes, and add
    roasted peanuts, and serve it in a plate and garnish with coriander leaves . If you want
    you can garnish with bhujia sev and
    desiccated coconut.
